Unlike standard VCLs, Sepa Solar features a reflective surface that enhances thermal performance while preventing moisture from entering the structure. Installed on the warm side of insulation, it plays a critical role in meeting current Building Regulations for energy efficiency and airtightness.
Why Use Sepa Solar?
Modern buildings demand higher levels of insulation and airtightness. Without an effective internal air barrier, warm air can escape and carry moisture into the roof structure, leading to condensation and reduced thermal performance.
Sepa Solar solves both problems:
- Prevents internal moisture from entering the structure
- Improves airtightness to reduce heat loss
- Boosts overall energy efficiency with reflective technology
When used as part of a complete airtightness system, it helps lower heating costs and improves long-term building performance.
Where It’s Used
- Inner face of insulated pitched roofs
- Timber frame walls
- Cold and warm roof constructions
- Ceilings and rooms-in-the-roof
- Loft ceiling applications
Installation Guidance
- Install on the warm side of the insulation
- Ensure all laps are sealed with appropriate tape
- Seal around penetrations for full airtightness
- Position the reflective surface facing the internal space
For best results, use alongside Klober sealing tapes and airtightness accessories.
